Chilli Chicken recipe

This is mouth-watering recipe and tastes sweet and sour because of chili sauce, soy sauce and vinegar. Eggs help the chicken moist and tender.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 250 grams boneless chicken – diced
  • Oil – Two table spoon
  • One egg white
  • Red chili sauce – 4 table spoon
  • Salt – 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar – 1 tablespoon
  • Pepper – according to taste
  • Salt – as needed
  • Corn flour – 2, 3 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce – One tablespoon
  • Tomato ketch up – One and a half tablespoon
  • Ginger garlic paste – One tablespoon
  • Large onions – sliced – Two
  • Chopped capsicum – chopped – Two

For garnishing:

  • Chopped onions
  • Coriander leaves
  • Green chilies

PREPARATION METHOD:

  1. In a bowl, marinate chicken pieces with vinegar, pepper, egg white and salt. Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoon corn flour and salt on the chicken. Mix everything well and leave this for half an hour.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce mixture by adding red chili sauce, soy sauce and tomato ketchup. Keep it aside.
  3. Now, heat some oil for deep-frying. Add chicken pieces to the oil over high flame to begin with and then lower the heat until the chicken is well cooked. Take the pieces out and put on tissue paper to absorb extra oil.
  4. In another pan, heat two-tablespoon oil and add ginger garlic paste to it. When the color turns to golden brown, add large sliced onions, chopped capsicum pieces and green chilies.
  5. Mix well and stir for about 2, 3 minutes on high flame. Fry them until they turn slightly tender. The vegetables must be crunchy.
  6. Add the prepared sauce mixture and water. Now, lower the flame and mix well.
  7. Now add the fried chicken pieces and mix all the ingredients properly.
  8. Saute over medium flame until well coated and the gravy thickens.
  9. Garnish with green chopped onions, coriander leaves, and green chilies.

Serve it hot with fried rice or noodles.
